dry eye therapy
Dry eye syndrome is not just uncomfortable; it can also be damaging long-term. We take a tailored approach to diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. We don’t just aim to address your symptoms; we also strive to address the underlying cause of your dry eye and create a targeted plan that is customized to suit your needs.
WHAT CAUSES DRY EYE?
Dry eye has two possible causes: insufficient tear volume or poor tear quality.
Sometimes our bodies are unable to produce enough tears to keep our eyes lubricated and moist. Other times our body can produce enough tears, but the tears produced do not contain enough oil. This oil, called meibum, is an important part of your tear film. Without a balanced tear film, our tears evaporate too quickly, leaving the eyes poorly lubricated and dry.
