Dr. lucie berthiaume

Dr. Berthiaume is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1988. In 1994, she became a partner with Dr. Young at the Barrhaven Optometric Centre.
Dr. Berthiaume received her training in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents in 1994 from the Northeastern State University, College of Optometry, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She is a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ontario College of Optometrists, where she has served on the Children’s Vision and Standards of Practice committees. She has also been active with the Ottawa Society of Optometrists. Dr. Berthiaume has been involved in numerous clinical trials dealing with contact lens material research, contact lens solutions and dry eye care.

Dr. Berthiaume enjoys many sports and community activities with her husband Ray and their children: Élise, Sophie, and Benoit. She is currently an active volunteer with the Guid’amies Franco-Canadiennes.

Dr. Lucie Berthiaume retired from practice in November 2020.
